Is there a fee for refunding an entry?
Tournament entry can be refunded with a $5 fee until noon the day before, or 72 hours before for Santa Cruz and Monterey. There are no refunds outside the withdraw window. Transfers and team changes do not have a fee and are only possible inside the withdraw window.
What to expect at a tournament?
Please see the Event FAQ for more information.
What division should I sign up for?
Players can play any division at or above their rating.
For example, a AA rated player could play a AA, AAA or Open tournament but not an Unrated, B or A event. A new or Unrated player can join any level.
The approximation of division to skill level is:
- Open/AAA: Best of the best
- AA: Very strong experienced beach players
- A: Have developed some strong skills
- B: Intermediate
- Unrated: New to the beach game
What is the height of the net?
- 8' (2.43m): Mens, Boys 16U/18U
- 7'4" (2.24m): Womens, Girls 14U-18U, Boys 14U
- 7' (2.13m): Boys & Girls 12U
How are tournaments seeded?
Rated tournaments seed teams by combined rating, then combined rank of players on the team. Rank orders players by rating, then points.
Juniors tournaments seed teams with a rated player as rated, then below that orders by combined juniors points.I keep getting logged out
