Tournament Director's Notes

Welcome to the 65th Annual Men's Laguna Open! Heritage and history run deep here in Laguna, which is literally the world's longest running open beach tournament since 1955. All of the best have played here and now it's your turn. This year we are giving out $10,000 in prize money. We're a 100% volunteer event and we depend on donations, sponsors and t-shirt sales for our prize money. This will be a double elimination two-day tournament on 5 courts with an Olympic cross over at the end. Check in is 8:30 AM sharp and we start play at 9:00 AM. We will have the matches and approximate start times posted by 9:00 AM. There are plenty of food opportunities, both restaurants and a grocery store, close to the courts and we'll provide a player's tent with hydration, fruit, sunscreen and more. We're working now with local hotels to try and secure housing deals if you want to stay over Saturday night. See you on the sand!

FROM NORTH: Take the 405 or 5 to the 133 Freeway towards Laguna Beach;  Go 9 miles to the water and you dead-end into Main Beach; Tournament check in is at the south end of Main Beach;  Parking is meters or lots (usually $10 all day) and you can park in the neighborhoods above Cliff Drive or off Park Avenue for free and walk to the site. FROM THE SOUTH: If you're coming from San Diego up through San Clemente, exit at Beach Cities Exit (just north of San Clemente) and go north on Coast Highway through Dana Point and into Laguna;  Travel 11 miles into downtown Laguna and park as noted above; If you're coming coming North from San Juan Capistrano or Mission Viejo, you can also take the 405 to the 133 and go West 9 miles to the water.
