Tournament Director's Notes

Check in for all CBVA youth and adult tournaments is at 8:30 and play starts as close to 9:00 AM as possible. We provide ice water, Gatorade mix, bananas, music and prizes. The CBVA is proud to announce our partnership with the AVP in 2020! The CBVA has always been the grass roots proving ground of beach volleyball and now we're teaming up with the premier professional league to provide the ultimate in growth opportunity and tournament play experiences. The Men's and Women's Laguna Open tournaments have substantial prize money. We awarded almost $15,000 between the two last year and we hope to exceed that in 2020. Both our Open tournaments are 100% volunteer with your entry fees going directly back into the prize purse. We rely on donations and sponsor ships from the community and donations are tax deductible when made out to the City of Laguna. (kirkmorgan@cox.net for more info) See you on the sand! Tradition runs deep in Laguna Beachs and this year we celebrated the 66th Annual Men's Laguna Open and the 45th Annual Women's Laguna Open at Main Beach. All the great players have played here in Laguna over the years and we look forward to continuing to have world-class competition in the world's oldest continuously run Open tournament. If you're playing in the CBVA youth or adult tournaments, welcome, you're in for a great experience.
